AgrowKnowledge is committed to protectingyour privacy. You can visit most pages on our site without giving any informationabout yourself. But sometimes we do need information to provide services that you request and to allow you to access certain areas of this site.     Collection of your Personal Information


  • We will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you (personal information) or allows us to contact you. This information is requested when registering for the site, signing up for an event or training, or when submitting to the Resource Clearinghouse and other areas. Personal information collected by AgrowKnowledge.org often is limited to your full name and e-mail address, but may include other information when needed.

    • To ensure our site is relevant to your needs.
    • To deliver services such as forums, events, training, career opportunities & projects.
    • To help us create and publish content most relevant to you.

    Control of your Personal Information


  • When you register, or otherwise give us personal information, AgrowKnowledge.org will not share that information with any third parties.  It will only be used for the purposes stated above.
  • When you register at AgrowKnowledge.org you have the option of being listed in our directory and you have the option of having your email address listed in that directory.  You can change these display permissions by logging into the site and then entering the Edit My Profile page.

    Access to your Personal Information

  • If you register on AgrowKnowledge.org you can review and edit your personal information at the Edit My Profile page. You will be asked to enter your login and password before viewing your personal information.

    Use of Cookies


  • When someone visits the site, a cookie is placed on the customer's machine (if the customer accepts cookies) or is read if the customer has visited the site previously. One use of cookies is to assist in altering the site to provide a more customized experience.
  • If you choose to not have your browser accept cookies you will be able to view the text on the screens, however you will not experience a personalized visit nor will you be able to subscribe to the service offerings on the site.

Submission Policy

  • By contributing materials, you are giving permission for people to use your material in various organizations and ways. By submitting a resource to the clearing house you are agreeing to lisence your work under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 License. AgrowKnowledge does not own the materials that you submit to us; rather, AgrowKnowledge has permission to disseminate them.
  • In order to protect your rights as author, only a description of the material, which you provide, is posted on the website for all to see. The full materials are available only to registered users who use passwords to access the restricted areas of the web site.  If a for-profit organization wants to use or sell your materials, they should contact you.
  • You will need to make sure that your materials are appropriate for students who are preparing to study at a two-year college, at the two-year college level or for the continuing education of graduates of two-year programs that relate to the education of individuals who will be or are employed in Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources industries
  • You must be certain that the material you send us does not contain someone else's copyrighted material. For example, if your activity includes a photo that you copied from a book, then you must remove the photo and replace it with a reference to that work.  AgrowKnowledge cannot take responsibility for determining ownership of materials and therefore requires that, when materials are contributed, the submitter must hold the copyright.
  • The AgrowKnowledge staff will review all materials and links submitted for content.  You will receive notification when your submission passes the review.

Use Policy

  • The registered user agrees to provide AgrowKnowledge with his/her name and e-mail address.
  • The registered user shall be permitted to reproduce of any and all materials obtained from AgrowKnowlegde.org sufficient for every student in his/her classes for this academic year; make overhead transparencies or any and all materials, as long as proper attribution is given as provided under the Creative Commons license; charge his/her students only for duplication costs.
  • Registered user agrees he/she shall not sell nor license the use of any materials or information obtained from AgrowKnowledge.org.
  • As a registered user are welcome to use the materials on this site to learn.  The registered user can read, view, and interact with pages. User may not, however, let others not registered at the site view or read pages, either on the screen or printed out.  User cannot make copies of materials submitted to the resource clearing house or incorporate them into other works without written permission from the author for materials prior to August 30th, 2007 unless the author has granted permission under the Creative Commons License.
